Principal's Coffee and Connect
School Coffee and Connect with the Principals
Every Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00 at Zukeran Elementary School
Zukeran's Principal's Coffee and Connect is a weekly open forum with our school Principal where various topics are introduced, ideas are shared, and questions are answered. These informative meetings take place inside the school, face-to-face, and parents may join virtually as well via the meeting link.
On February 25th at 8:30 AM, Zukeran Elementary will conduct a scheduled Lockdown Drill as part of our regular safety training for students and staff. This practice helps ensure everyone knows what to do in the unlikely event of an emergency. You may notice first responders on or near campus during the drill. They will be observing and supporting our practice to help us continue improving our safety procedures. Please don’t be alarmed—this is only a drill, and there is no cause for concern. The drill will last only a few minutes so that we can keep the school day running smoothly.
What Is the Standard Response Protocol (SRP)?
Our school follows the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) adopted by DoDEA. This system uses clear, common language and focuses on what actions students and staff should take in any type of situation. The SRP includes five simple actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter.
Students and staff practice these procedures throughout the year to help ensure everyone stays safe, calm, and prepared.
More information about DoWEA's Standard Response Protocol can be found in the School Handbook by scrolling to Standard Response Protocol in the DoDEA Policies Section. If you have any questions about the drill or our safety procedures, please feel free to contact elise.rosch@doda.edu.
The DoDEA Stakeholder Feedback Survey is underway, and we encourage parents and students to take a few minutes to participate. The survey is voluntary, anonymous, and provides meaningful insight that helps schools identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. The survey remains open through March 13.
Survey access is available through DSIS email. If you haven’t received a link in your inbox, please check your spam folder.
